This gave me goosebumps! Gorgeous time-lapse of glowing waves in California’s Big Sur. These were a result of bioluminescence, a phenomenon caused by a phytoplankton bloom. High concentrations of tiny organisms called dinoflagellates flooded the coastal waters and were flashing light when agitated by encroaching predators. Check it out!
