The world's leading wing and kite designers were brought on board to elevate this design to unprecedented heights. In every aspect of the A-Wing XPS, meticulous thought, testing, and fine-tuning took place in a wide range of riding conditions.
A groundbreaking cross panel sail (XPS) design establishes an unparalleled connection while riding. This futuristic panel layout significantly reduces sail distortion by enhancing load distribution and frame rigidity. As a result, all wing sizes offer a direct and controlled feel, ensuring effortless and comfortable flying. The addition of removable carbon fiber battens minimizes trailing edge flutter and facilitates easy canopy tuning to adapt to various wind intensities.
The XPS's airfoil section, combined with our pre-twist tip geometry, generates exceptional speed and sublime upwind performance. This greatly enhances jump amplitude for freestyle maneuvers, providing ample hang time and smooth landings. This wing is also a dream for wave riders, exhibiting minimal luffing or sail flutter and demonstrating excellent stability. Thus, the rider can devote less attention to the wing and focus on completely tearing up the waves.
In terms of design, we have introduced a newly developed hybrid carbon handle (HCH). This handle boasts a rigid carbon interior skeleton and a soft padded exterior, combining control, comfort, and safety in perfect harmony.
During the development phase, we conducted extensive testing on a multitude of materials. Ultimately, we selected the highest quality lightweight Dacron for the new generation, renowned polyester Dacron, and Ultra PE woven laminate (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) for crucial reinforcements. The outcome is a meticulously crafted blend of materials that delivers outstanding strength-to-weight ratio, durability, and overall performance.
