The Molokai 2 Oahu (M2O) foil race, a 32-mile test of endurance and skill, showcased the best in foil design and athleticism once again this year. But amidst the excitement, a glaring disparity stood out: only five women competed compared to 89 men. While foiling continues to evolve and impress on the global stage, including at the Olympics, the gender gap in downwind events like M2O remains stark.
