I ordered a scubajet back in 2017 with the idea of mounting it on a foil to convert a regular foil into an efoil. It finally arrived in 2019 and I got to test it out, here is a little review: I mounted it on my foil with a big downwind wing and tried it but it was too small for me, I could almost get it up on a foil but it did not have enough power to keep me going at 195 pounds of weight, even with pumping and paddling. I did try it with a mask and snorkel and it worked great for that, effortless diving and it has a surprising amount of thrust, just not enough for efoiling at my weight.
Then I let Zane Saenz try it at the 100 Wave Foil Challenge in Waikiki two weeks ago and the setup worked well for him, he had to paddle and pump a bit to get it going but he said it did not take much effort to keep the foil flying for 15 minutes at a time.
This is the system used:
Scubajet with 200 wh battery. Slide in iSUP adapter mounted on Fuselage using stainless steel hose clamps.
I had to special order a hard wired controller, the wireless controller did not have enough range to work with the foil mounted jet.
