World Record Hydrofoil Pumping?

Will Culberson didn’t forget leg day. Nearly six and a half minutes of pumping is no small feat. The Wake Thief team have put the work in on the water and behind the scenes to work out their most setup.

We want to fly forever above the water, and we’re searching for the foil that allows us to do it. We enlisted the help of Guinness World Records, but our application was rejected. We dug into the physics, and realized that it will be possible for a foil to allow for more than 30 minutes of flight. The longest we’ve ever flown is 4 minutes, but this week we saw Will Culberson fly for more than 6 minutes. We believe this a world record.
