Hand paddles, yay or nay? Adam Bennett gives them a go, and here’s what he had to say.
Hand paddles are the real deal and allow you to skip learning to stand-up paddle for downwinding. This was Adam Bennett’s first time paddling in ocean bumps in 20 knots of wind, and he was using a never before ridden 66 @ 96L DW board (thanks for the lend, @oskarfoil) with a 1050cm2 foil. Once you dial your board and mast position in, it’s relatively easy, so hopefully, this inspires other people to get some hand paddles and give it a crack! Of course, it would be even easier with a longer, narrower board and a bigger front wing! Pretty damn pumped right now!
