When paddling up on a DW SUP Foil, whether on flat water or in bumps, what is most important – pumping or paddling? While both are essential for effectiveness, in our testing, we found that pumping is actually more crucial for paddling up on a foil. The split is approximately 60% pumping effort and 40% paddling effort to achieve the best results in the paddle-up phase, although this ratio may vary depending on the specific foil setup being used.
